Cockroaches and Termites (Blattodea)

 

Blattodea is an order of insects which includes the cockroaches (Corydioidea, Blaberoidea, and Blattoidea) and the termites (Isoptera). There are eight families of cockroaches with ca. 500 genera and 4,640 species. The termites contain twelve families, ca. 300 genera and 3,100 species.
