Cuckoo Wasps (Chrysididae)

 

 

The hymenopteran family Chrysididae includes parasitic or kleptoparasitic wasps, commonly known as cuckoo wasps or emerald wasps, with over 3,000 species. These brilliantly-coloured wasps are small and often difficult to identify from a photograph. We have images of only two unidentified species of genus Chrysis.
