Manduca hannibal is widely distributed in the Neotropics, from Mexico to north-eastern Argentina. The wingspan is 99-114 mm. The hindwing has a whitish band and a large whitish patch within the black central band at the posterior corner on the upperside. The larva feeds on Aegiphila spp. (Lamiaceae).
