Common Bark Louse (Cerastipsocus venosus)

Cerastipsocus venosus occurs in eastern North America. This species is gregarious and typically occurs in colonies, containing a mixture of nymphs and adults, and sometimes numbering several hundred individuals. Nymphs (shown on this page) are dark gray with pale yellow abdominal banding.
