Koeberliniaceae (Koeberlinia)

 

The Koeberliniaceae is a small family (one genus with 2 species) restricted to south-western North America and Bolivia (South America). It was formerly included within the Capparaceae. These are thorny deciduous shrubs or trees, with minute, alternate or spirally arranged, leaves. Inflorescences are racemose or corymbose. Flowers actinomorphic, with 4 sepals and 4 petals. The fruit is a berry.
