Find Species

Currently, there are two ways of searching for images of animals and plants at this website. Lists of species by main taxonomic group (e.g., Mammals, Birds, etc.) can be found here.  Click on a group you are interested in, and then simply use your browser's "Search this page" function. Alternatively, you could search for available species by following image pages. For example, if you are looking for images of Star-nosed Mole click on "Mammals" then "Shrews and Moles" then "Moles", and finally on "Star-nosed Mole". If you cannot find a species you are looking for, simply ask us.

Presently, only several thousand of our 25,000 plus images are displayed at this website. We try to post our best images of each species, however, in many cases we have more good images that we can display.

Images posted on this website are small JPEG files. If you are interested in seeing all images of a particular species or a group of species, or all habitat shots from a particular area, you should Contact Us and larger high quality images will be provided.

How to order

First, you need to express interest in a certain image (each has its unique catalogue number) or a group of images. For example, you may want to see all images of a species, or landscapes from a particular natural area. Upon receiving you request, we will e-mail you larger JPEG images so you could take another look and make your selection. Once you make your choice, e-mail us the image unique numbers, and we will ship you a CD containing the chosen images in TIFF format. We usually provide TIFF images of approximately 6 MB in size, but we have capacity to produce images of up to 25 MB or greater (special order for greater images). Formats other than TIFF are also available. Smaller JPEG images could be send via e-mail. To inquire write to us to wildnatureimages@hotmail.com
