The family Parulidae, New World Warblers or Wood-Warblers, embraces 26 genera and 135 species of small, often colorful, songbirds restricted to the Americas. They are not closely related to Old World Warblers (Sylviidae). Most of species nesting in North America are long-distance migrants, wintering in the Neotropics.
