Club-tailed Skimmer (Scapanea frontalis)

Scapanea frontalis is restricted to the Greater Antilles. It is usually found near fast-flowing streams with clear water and rocky bottoms; from sea level to at least 800 m in Hispaniola. The thorax and abdomen are brown to metallic green; the abdomen is inflated posteriorly in males.
