Bathygobius soporator is found in the Atlantic, e.g., along the coast of the Americas, from North Carolina to southern Brazil, in Bermuda, Bahamas and the Caribbean; also along the west coast of Africa from Cabo Verde to Angola. At depths 0-15 m; often seen in tidal pools.
