Frillfin Goby (Bathygobius soporator) (Valenciennes, 1837)

 

Synonyms: Gobius humeralis, Gobius soporator, Mapo soporator

 

 

Bathygobius soporator is found in the Atlantic, e.g., along the coast of the Americas, from North Carolina to southern Brazil, in Bermuda, Bahamas and the Caribbean; also along the west coast of Africa from Cabo Verde to Angola. At depths 0-15 m; often seen in tidal pools.
