Bourreria baccata is a shrub or small tree found in Florida, the Bahamas, the Greater and Lesser Antilles, Tobago, Mexico, Central America, and Venezuela. It grows in sand and limestone soils in coastal forests (e.g., coppice) and shrublands, including disturbed sites. The flowers are arranged in cymes; the fruit is an orange-red berry.
