Hairy Tree Ferns (Dicksoniaceae) |
The Dicksoniaceae contains 4 genera and 19-20 species found primarily in the Southern Hemisphere, e.g., South America, Australia, and New Zealand. The majority of species have hairy trunk-like stems (modified rhizomes) and may reach several metres in height; the family also contains epiphytes. The fronds are pinnate, 1-4 m long.
