Limenitis arthemis arthemis (Drury, 1773)
White Admiral |
The White Admiral occurs in Canada and in the north-eastern United States, north of an imaginary line drawn through southwestern Ontario, Pennsylvania and north-central New England. The Red-spotted Purple is usually found south of this line. Much hybridization takes place where these subspecies co-occur.
