Dysdaemonia brasiliensis

Dysdaemonia braziliensis is confined to the Atlantic Forest region of southern Brazil (EspĂrito Santo to Rio Grande do Sul), Paraguay, and northern Argentina (Misiones). It inhabits humid tropical and subtropical forests, including second growth; up to ca. 1,500 m. This species is whitish-gray in appearance. The forewing is 63-65 mm long. D. braziliensis flies in September in Rio de Janeiro, and January-February further south.
