Yellow Trumpets (Sarracenia alata) Alphonso Wood 1863

 

Synonyms: Sarracenia gronovii, Sarracenia sledgei, Pale Pitcherplant, Pale Trumpet

 

 

Sarracenia alata is native to the southeastern United States, where it occurs from eastern Texas to western Alabama. It grows in wet meadows, prairies and savannas, often in association with the Longleaf Pine (Pinus palustris).
