Wild Dogs (Canidae) |
The Canidae includes dogs, wolves, coyotes, foxes, jackals, and other related species (14 genera and 36 species overall). Most species have long, pointed snouts, long legs and padded feet with non-retractable claws. The Canidae are predominately carnivores, although many species also consume invertebrates, and plant matter. Canids are found on all continents except Antarctica.
