Aceraceae (Maple) |
The Aceraceae contain 2-4 genera, and ca. 125 species of trees and shrubs. They are found in temperate deciduous forests of Northern Hemisphere, predominantly in Asia, but a number of species occurs in North America, Europe, and North Africa. One species extends into the tropics of South-East Asia. Several taxonomists include the Aceraceae in the family Sapindaceae.
