Caecilians (Apoda) are a group of limbless, worm-like amphibians. They are mostly fossorial or aquatic, and are seldom seen. The order contains 10 families, 33 genera and 206 species restricted to the tropics of South and Central America, Africa, and South Asia. Their diet consists of earthworms and small subterranean arthropods.
